The GenuTrain P3 guides the kneecap and keeps it in its physiologically correct path during movement. Thanks to its Patella Pad with corrective strap, the knee support counteracts painful drifting: the unique shape of the corrective strap, which is integrated in the viscoelastic pad, ensures that application of force is directed toward the inside of the knee where the kneecap drifts laterally and rotates outward. The relieving tension can be individually adjusted and is noticeable straight away.
During movement, the proximal wing of the Patella Pad activates the joint-stabilizing vastus medialis muscle. This helps center patellar guidance. Two friction points on the Patella Pad – also known as Hoffa Spots – intensively stimulate the infrapatellar fat pad during movement with two material components of different densities and alleviate pain in the retropatellar area. An additional pad on the outer thigh reduces tension in the fasciae of the iliotibial tract to minimize lateral pull on the kneecap.
The pads and very textured high-low knitted fabric massage the tissue during movement to stimulate circulation. This has the objective of reducing pain and providing neuromuscular stabilization.
The GenuTrain P3 features silicone dots on its upper edge so it remains securely in position. Its lateral plastic stays feature flexible bending zones and integrated donning and doffing aids. The soft comfort zone at the back of the knee ensures the support feels comfortable to wear.
