The congress profile of OTWorld
Prosthetists and orthotists, orthopaedic footwear professionals, engineers, medical practitioners and therapists from all over the world shed a light on the most important aspects of current trends and developments as well as the core topics of the congress from an interdisciplinary point of view.
Main elements of the congress programme include keynote lectures, symposia, satellite events, lecture series made up of free papers, courses and factory talks. A diverse programme that combines science and research with education and practice and sets the tone for future industry development.
The internationality of OTWorld is reflected in the bilingual congress programme: the congress languages are German and English. Simultaneous translation into the other language are provided.

GLOBAL INTERDISCIPLINARY LEADERS
Get first-hand experience of interdisciplinary treatment concepts on the topics “Diabetic foot” and “Lower limb amputation” from internationally recognized teams.
In the new specialist workshops under the heading ‘Materials 2025 – materials science in prosthetics & orthotics’, experienced practitioners provide foundational information. A separate registration is required.
Discussion and an exchange of experiences and ideas will take centre stage in a special room open to all visitors. Daily specialist highlights and discussions will be presented, which are accessible for exhibition visitors as well.
PRACTICE-ORIENTED COURSE PROGRAMME
More than 20 courses and factory talks held on a daily basis will focus on the issues of prosthetics and orthotics, orthopaedic footwear technology / pedorthics and physiotherapy, while highlighting their respective medical aspects. These offerings feature a close relationship to practice and are aimed at those employed in the sector.
On each day of the event, poster contributions will be presented as ePosters at digital poster stations situated at prominent positions right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the congress. The posters will also be presented in an abbreviated form as short lectures.

The World Congress is accompanied by a top-class programme committee and an advisory board with associate members from both craft and scientific organisations.
