COPSIL 65 is a two-component RTV silicone elastomer designed for the manufacture of prosthetic socket duplications for both temporary thermoplastic sockets and definitive acrylic/epoxy sockets.
The filled silicone system (resin and hardener) is mixed at a 1:1 ratio and cures rapidly at room temperature by platinum-catalyzed polyaddition reaction, with the curing process accelerated by heat if required.
The final polymer reaches approximately 65 Shore A hardness and offers a fast, easy-to-process alternative to polyurethane socket duplication systems. It does not generate heat during polymerization and can be used directly in thermoplastic sockets without release agent.
