Turning rigid into flexible: thanks to its unique Flex-Modules, the new SecuTec Genu Flex is flexible during movement and adapts to the changing shapes of the thigh and lower leg. This frame orthosis therefore has an adaptive shape and remains securely in position.
The lightweight plastic frame of the SecuTec Genu Flex features Flex-Links in the area of both the thigh and the lower leg. These are also known as Flex-Modules. Orthotists can add or remove Flex-Links to precisely adapt the knee orthosis to leg circumferences at the beginning of and during treatment. The orthosis can be adjusted to two lengths each in a proximal and distal direction. Flexion and extension can be restricted independently.
Bauerfeind’s first flexible frame orthosis is an innovation in the Statutory Health Insurance Medical Aids Directory. It is suitable for active patients with injuries to the anterior or posterior cruciate ligament, collateral ligaments, and menisci, or with complex instabilities.
