Movement Analysis in Prosthetics and Orthotics – What Is Specific, What Should Be Noted, How Is It Done Properly?

Providing proof of the functionality of medical devices is crucial in the context of the Medical Device Regulation. Instrumental 2D and 3D gait analysis is an important tool for providing clinical evidence. However, the established tools for this analysis are not always optimally suited for the evaluation of orthoses and prostheses. Participants learn that a problem-oriented approach can be taken in orthotics and prosthetics, and that the effectiveness can be significantly increased in practice using such a method.
