Rehabilitation after Osseointegrative Implants (TOPS)
9:15 AM -
10:15 AM
Tue, 14 May
Short description
Rehabilitation after osseointegration implant procedures requires specialised knowledge and is definitely just as important as the implantation technique itself. Long-term results are less favourable in the absence of a strict rehabilitation protocol based on biomechanical considerations. This encompasses topics such as stoma care, gradually increasing load bearing, prosthesis alignment and its adaptation in the rehabilitation process. Participants gain insights into the current approach in Germany, supplemented by an overview of where things stand internationally.
