Description

India's Pradhan Mantri Divyasha–Vayoshri Kendra (PMD-VK) model, operationalised by ALIMCO, a Government of India CPSE under DEPwD has established 100+ permanent, integrated assistive technology service centres across India. Each centre delivers assessment, fitment, counselling, device distribution, and post-care under one roof, free of cost for eligible persons with disabilities and senior citizens. With .32 Million beneficiaries served and integration with national welfare schemes in last 2.5 years only with appliance value of approx 4,160 Million. The model offers a proven, scalable blueprint for last-mile assistive technology delivery in LMIC contexts.
