Master digital craftsmanship with 3D-printed orthopedic products

Create it REAL

11:00 AM - 11:45 AM Tue, 19 May

Description

The new generation of custom orthopedic products embraces a digital-first and 3D-printed approach. This transition may pose a hurdle for orthopedic professionals. In this workshop, Create it REAL CTO and founder Jeremie Gay has teamed up with our French partner Groupe Tolda, experts in central fabrication (c-fab) and digital production, to showcase how to digitalize the workflow for the production of custom products.

Together, we present a real-world customer case that has successfully implemented a full digital workflow. Learn the ins and outs of digitizing workflows to create personalized 3D-printed orthopedic products. We will use tailored seating designs as an example to showcase scanning, CAD mastery, build prep (slicing), and insights into 3D printing (FDM).

This workshop targets orthopedic professionals curious about reducing labor and carbon footprint and stepping into sustainable additive manufacturing. It may be simpler than you imagine. By the end of the session, you will understand how to immediately access these benefits via professional print services or, for those ready to scale, how to establish a large-scale, harmonized in-house manufacturing setup.
