Description

Early rehabilitation using a prosthesis after upper limb amputation could help amputees adapt to limb loss more quickly, preserve muscle strength and adopt upper limb prostheses more often. Hanger Clinic have co-developed new soft prostheses with Koalaa for fitting within a few hours of amputation and are deploying them as part of their new post amputation upper limb pathway. This workshop will consider the evidence for early prosthetic support and present case studies of patients’ experiences with the evolving Hanger pathways.
