PlantaPress is a tool for recording static and dynamic pressure distributions in the context of medical issues (e.g., in the fields of orthopedics, diabetology, pressure ulcer prevention, sports medicine, etc.). Anatomically adapted sensors enable the examination of different areas of the body (e.g., foot-shaped sensors or sensors for seating and lying surfaces). PlantaPress can thus be used as a tool for the manufacture of customized positioning systems (e.g., orthopedic shoe and foot care, anatomically adapted seat cushions, or lying mats). In addition, PlantaPress can be used in quality control to check the effectiveness of the manufactured positioning systems.
The mobile PlantaPress pressure measurement system is supplied in a compact transport case with integrated charging function. The transport case contains the application-specific sensors (e.g., measuring soles), wireless data acquisition units, a receiver unit for the PC, and the “VisuPress” software. This software, designed for Windows 10/11, impresses with its intuitive interface design and extensive analysis functions, as well as the ability to measure both feet at the same time wirelessly.
