With the Push ortho DPT hand orthosis, Ofa offers an innovative treatment solution for patients with Dupuytren’s disease. This dynamic extension orthosis complements conservative, pre- and post-operative therapy with an effective component suitable for everyday use.
The Push DPT utilises a patented leaf spring system that applies a defined stretching force to the affected fingers. The aim is to counteract the progression of a contracture through sustained, gentle stretching. The extension force is individually adjustable, allowing for flexible treatment planning.
The orthosis consists of a base unit for the hand, which can be supplemented with up to four finger sections. Despite the sustained extension effect, finger flexion is maintained, allowing for light manual tasks whilst wearing the device.
