About us
The ICCAS is the leading research and technology transfer center for computer-assisted technologies and assistive systems in medical technology at the University of Leipzig. Through innovative solutions and an interdisciplinary approach, it is driving the digital transformation in healthcare. Among other things, the goal is to equip operating rooms with the latest information and communication technologies to improve the quality and speed of surgeries and reduce the workload on medical staff. Other research areas are driving development in wireless applications in medical technology, assisted robotics, and new methods in application-oriented medical sensor technology. As part of OTWorld, ICCAS will present its expertise and current research approaches in the fields of robotics, AI, and medical technology.
