About us
Levitate is a Danish company developing innovative prosthetic solutions designed to support mobility, independence, and an active lifestyle for people with limb loss.
The company was founded by Lasse Werner Madsen, who lost his right leg above the knee as a teenager. Motivated to make better mobility more accessible, he later spent two years developing Levitate’s first prosthetic solution together with engineers from the Technical University of Denmark.
Levitate began with a running blade designed to make running more accessible to a broader community of amputees. Today, the same philosophy—bringing performance thinking into everyday mobility—guides the development of Levitate’s prosthetic feet and components, built for daily use, work, and active lifestyles.
Rooted in Danish engineering culture, Levitate emphasizes precision, clean design, and practical reliability. The company prioritizes straightforward solutions with fewer components and robust structures to ensure durability and consistent performance in real-world conditions.
