Custom-made based on the ICF evaluation – ultra-lightweight, precisely tailored, and featuring a striking stealth design. With the M-i, the DIETZ GROUP is introducing its first rigid-frame wheelchair, thereby expanding its portfolio of active wheelchairs. The M-i combines custom fitting, modern manufacturing technology, and a minimalist design language into a personalized mobility solution for active wheelchair users. The individual fitting is performed in accordance with the ICF evaluation. In addition to physical requirements, functional needs, mobility goals, and the individual’s daily life are systematically taken into account. The development of the M-i was also guided by the experiences of more than 150 wheelchair users. In surveys, they expressed key requirements for modern active mobility solutions: a wheelchair that is as lightweight as possible yet stable, precise adaptation to the user’s body, and shorter delivery times. These needs formed the basis for the DIETZ M-i. Customization at Specialty Retailers Every M-i is individually configured and precisely adapted to the user. This is based on a precise measurement at the medical supply store, taking up to 29 measurements. Upon request, the fitting process can be supported by digital measurement technologies. The result is a solution that is consistently tailored to the individual requirements, sitting posture, and mobility goals of the respective person. The permanently welded frame is made of high-strength 7020 aluminum and combines low weight with maximum stability. Optionally, ultra-lightweight fiber composites can be used for the seat plate, footrest, and side panels; these also offer an advantage, particularly for people who are sensitive to the cold. Numerous configuration options—including individually adjustable tilt points, an optional fold-down backrest, or ergonomic seat and back solutions—are available.
