Sunrise Medical GmbH: The Children’s World Grows
With its expanded Children’s World portfolio, Sunrise Medical is consistently expanding its approach to holistic, 24-hour care.
At the heart of this is what is known as Positioning and Activity Management (PAM), which supports children with complex needs throughout the entire day—from sitting and standing to lying down and sleeping. The innovative core lies in the combination of modularity, adaptability, and a systems-based approach. Products such as the BeMe family, Primo, and SymmetriSleep are not intended as standalone solutions, but rather interlock and can be flexibly adapted to development, daily life, and therapy. This creates a comprehensive care concept rather than isolated medical aids. The BeMe therapy chairs offer tailored solutions for varying postural needs—from light support to complex, non-correctable asymmetries. Of particular note are materials such as accordion foam and flexible stretch covers, which actively accommodate growth and enable long-term use. At the same time, the ability to integrate with electric mobility bases provides additional freedom and mobility. With Primo and SymmetriSleep, Sunrise Medical is specifically expanding its focus to early care and sleep. Here, the emphasis is on comfortable, pressure-relieving, and temperature-regulating materials that enable stable, safe, and at the same time comfortable positioning—both during the day and at night. The portfolio is complemented by modular standing functions that open up additional therapeutic positions and sensibly round out the system. In short: Sunrise Medical is shifting pediatric care from individual products toward a networked, adaptable comprehensive system. The added value lies in consistent support, high adaptability, and a clear focus on daily life, participation, and quality of life.
