DARCO Expands Its Line of Comfort Shoes: Ubiq® – the therapeutic everyday hero, style included. Following the successful launch of the Movilo®, DARCO is introducing its second in-house line of comfort shoes, the Ubiq®. Developed at the company’s headquarters in Raisting on Lake Ammersee, the new therapeutic comfort shoe combines medical functionality with modern design. Ubiq® stands for active and healthy walking—anywhere and anytime. “The Ubiq® is the logical next step in our comfort shoe expertise,” says Johannes Hagenmeyer, Managing Director of DARCO (Europe) GmbH. “As a company with roots in medical technology, we develop products that combine function, prevention, and design. “Following the Movilo®, we are now introducing a second line—an in-house development that is sportier and more geared toward everyday life.” The Ubiq® was first unveiled at OST in Cologne, one of the leading trade shows for orthopaedic footwear technology. The Ubiq® therapeutic comfort shoe combines a modern look with orthopedic benefits. The sole geometry supports a natural rolling motion and provides cushioning and stability. Features:> Rear-shifted, dynamic forefoot roll to relieve pressure on the forefoot> Shock-absorbing, force-absorbing sole construction> Anatomically shaped, replaceable insole> Breathable, dimensionally stable upper material> Elastic lacing with quick-release fastener or classic version (non-elastic)> Available in four colors: Black, Grey, Navy, and Lemon The Ubiq® is suitable for people with mild to moderate foot and toe deformities, such as hallux valgus or hallux limitus. It also meets the requirements for diabetes mellitus without PNP or pAVK (risk groups 0 and 1) according to the guidelines of the German Diabetes Society. Thanks to its balanced design and smooth roll-off, the Ubiq® is also suitable as a preventive measure for anyone who wants to stay active and support their foot health in the long term.
