Watch the Opening Ceremony of OTWorld 2026 via Livestream
OTWorld 2026 will officially open on 19 May in Leipzig. For everyone unable to attend in person, the anniversary opening ceremony will be streamed live on the OTWorld website starting at 4:45 pm (CEST).
The opening will focus on 50 years of OTWorld, this year’s motto “You make the difference”, and personal stories that highlight the impact of modern assistive technology and rehabilitation. The programme will be hosted by actor, comedian and presenter Tan Çağlar. Guests also include Lara Wilkin, who shares her experiences following a forearm amputation, and double above-knee amputee mountaineer Hari Budha Magar.
