Focus on training: OTWorld 2026 secures tomorrow's supply

OTWorld 2026 focuses on training in the field of orthopaedic treatment and care – with topics covering the skilled trades, study and digital skills. The World Congress and International Trade Show show how promoting young talent and qualifications contribute to security of supply.

How can we secure the orthopaedic treatment and care in the long term? The answer starts with training. That is why OTWorld 2026, taking place from 19 to 22 May in Leipzig, is placing a central focus on qualifications, promoting young talent and future technologies – both at the World Congress and at the International Trade Show.

The congress programme highlights all aspects of training: from master craftsman training and academic pathways to digital tools and global networks. There is a particular focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and new learning formats for practical application.

Education can also be experienced in the exhibition hall: research, skilled trades and teaching come together in the spotlight ‘Robotics + AI’ and in the exhibition area OTWorld.education + research. The OTWorld.campus offers space for exchange with schools, universities and young talent.

With the Youth.Academy TO , OTWorld will also be targeting trainees and students directly from 21 to 22 May – with its own programme, workshops and networking opportunities.
