Short description

Interdisciplinary treatment and care pathway – from surgery to orthosis. The journey from surgery to orthotic treatment and care requires close collaboration between surgery, rehabilitation/physiotherapy, and prosthetics and orthotics. Only through early communication, coordinated therapy goals and a structured transition can healing processes be optimised, mobility ensured, and patients’ quality of life sustainably improved. The pathway from surgery, through the rehabilitation clinic and physiotherapy/occupational therapy, to orthotic treatment and care is outlined. A successful outcome can only be achieved when these departments work together optimally.
