Beatrice Janka, MPO, CPO, is a Senior Product Development Engineer at Becker Orthopedic, where she brings 15 years of clinical and engineering experience to advance patient-centered orthotic device design. She holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Master's in Prosthetics and Orthotics from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Drawing on her combined clinical and engineering expertise, she has contributed to the development of Becker's Triple Action®, Method TA™, and MILINE™ product lines. She is a co-inventor on multiple patents for orthotic devices and systems, an AOPA Thranhardt Research Award recipient, and co-author of a peer-reviewed publication outlining the evidence base for the Triple Action® Systematic Tuning Procedure, a clinical method she co-developed for gait optimization with multi-function ankle joints. Her current focus is the development of orthotic devices paired with evidence-based clinical tools targeting improved patient outcomes and increased accessibility of advanced orthotic solutions across a broad range of practice settings.
