You will learn how orthopaedic footwear and individual foot orthoses are redefining comfort, function and acceptance. Current studies and practical experience show how different treatment concepts – from hallux valgus orthoses to AI-based offloading systems – can influence mobility, load and the healing process. You will also learn how to select treatment solutions in a targeted way in order to sustainably improve gait patterns, quality of life and user satisfaction.
Based on the “Fuß + Schuh” (foot + shoe) compendium and current developments within product group 08 (PG 08) and the upcoming e-prescription capability, existing treatment structures will be critically discussed. The focus lies on how orthopaedic footwear services are categorised and integrated into the everyday digital treatment. Discussion points include: How can quality and individualisation be ensured despite growing standardisation? What limitations do prefabricated insoles impose on patient-centred treatment – and how can they be overcome?
In the ePoster exhibition, you will discover a wide range of ideas from research and practice that invite you to gain new perspectives. You can explore and delve deeper into the content at your own pace – the digital exhibition is permanently accessible throughout the entire event. Short lectures allow you to understand the background, thought processes and practical consequences directly. You will take away a variety of approaches that will inspire you to look at challenges in a new light and enrich your everyday work.
Interdisciplinary collaboration is absolutely essential for the stage-appropriate treatment of diabetic foot syndrome (DFS). You will learn about modern concepts in prevention, diagnosis, and therapy that will assist you in practice. This includes new technologies in wound care and orthopaedic footwear technology, as well as best-practice examples and successful treatment approaches from leading treatment centres.
