The Rise is a personalised, dynamic ankle-foot orthosis for adults with dorsiflexor weakness, integrating seamlessly into daily life and giving people the confidence to move naturally wherever the day takes them. Each device is built around the individual through three forms of personalisation. The stiffness and preload of the compliant hinge are tuned to the patient's biomechanical needs, stabilising the ankle at heel strike and ensuring consistent toe clearance during swing. The footplate is contoured to the dorsum of the foot from a 3D scan, transferring force comfortably while avoiding sensitive areas and preventing chafing. Ergonomic component modelling keeps the strut away from the skin and positions the compliant hinge medially for a discreet appearance.
