Youth.Academy TO: tomorrow's professionals visit the World Congress
10:00 a.m.: Since 2012, OTWorld has invited the next generation of technical orthopedics. It's that time again on Thursday: At 10 o'clock a.m. the Youth.Academy TO opens at the YA.TO meeting point in the Glass Hall. There are more than 400 participants registered; For the first time, there will also be new blood from the Netherlands and Belgium. The young professionals attend the World Congress and network at their own get-together in the exhibition park.
Research and development at the symposium
10:30 a.m.: Four congress lectures by international experts revolve around the topic area of residual limb and shaft. The interaction of prosthetic product and residual limb are just as important as the exact adaptation to the lower extremity. The symposium will take place in Room 3 of the CCO.
"Never give up!"
2:30 p.m.: Felix Brunner's keynote speech shows the importance of motivation in the rehabilitation process and why all those involved in the care process should follow his motto: "Never give up!" The climber fell during ice climbing, was rescued and survived seriously injured. After more than 60 operations, he now trains for the Winter Paralympics and rides his hand bike on off-road routes across the Alps. The keynote speech is part of the congress programme and will take place in Room 1 of the CCO. Afterwards there will be the opportunity to talk to Brunner. The presentation will be translated into Spanish.
