Focus of the World Congress: E-Health and Osseointegration
The OTWorld 2020 World Congress Programme Committee is inviting participants to submit symposium concepts on the topics of e-health and osseointegration for the first time.
The European Commission ranked Germany 21st in its annual "Digital Economy and Society Index" (DESI Index). The index evaluates the so called e-government and e-health. Finland, Estonia and Denmark are the top ranking countries. As at the previous OTWorld, the world congress will focus extensively on the subject of digitalisation. E-health is also included in this subject. What experience has been gained from patient data networking? How could we use this data in an interdisciplinary manner? Which approaches are likely to succeed in the still very nationally-shaped health care systems worldwide? Who has and is able to present best-practice cases? At the symposia, congress participants will receive a concise update as to how the digital future will benefit them and their field of work.
Participants at OTWorld 2018 chose osseointegration as one of the main topics The symposia and courses were very popular. A good enough reason for the programme committee, headed by Professor Christoph Josten and Michael Schäfer, to continue discussions about the controversial procedure at OTWorld 2020. Discussion will be spurred on with the scandal surrounding the "Implant Files".
Symposium concept submissions are welcome
The programme committee is now calling for symposium submissions for both topics: e-health and Osseointegration.
The submission deadline is 15 September 2019.
