OTWorld.connect offers 45 exciting workshops from companies in the industry to facilitate rigorous exchange. The programme includes hands-on topics concerning indication-based care aimed at prosthetists and orthotists, orthopaedic footwear professionals and employees in the medical supplies trade.
In the workshops, manufacturers and service providers from across the industry will be presenting directly from their company headquarters. The list of companies taking part reflects a wealth of top-class international expertise on the market. Aether Biomedical, ALPS, Bauerfeind, BionIT Labs, Blatchford, Breg, INAIL, medi, NOWECOR, Optica, ORLIMAN, RCM Naked Prosthetics, Streifeneder, Thuasne, Twikit and the VORUM Research Corporation – to name but a few – will all be participating as part of OTWorld.connect's varied workshop programme. Questions can be asked by the participants via chat over the course of the respective workshop.
"In light of the developments in recent months, it appears clear that the international medical aids market has to become more responsive to change than previously thought. Our industry as a whole has now become much more visible to society as "systemically relevant" and, despite all the uncertainties, has proved how strong this community can be, even under rapidly evolving conditions. For this reason, we believe that in these times it is more important than ever to keep the supply network and specialist trade informed about upcoming innovations and new comprehensive concepts. Thuasne has therefore decided to take part in this important trade show and share essential news with our customers. We are pleased to open Thuasne's digital gates at OTWorld.connect on 27 October and look forward to exploring new ways of exchanging ideas with visitors," emphasises Joachim Dehmel, new CEO Thuasne Deutschland GmbH.
Thuasne offers workshops on the following topics: Self-management, central component in lymph therapy or knee OA in the Covid crisis: a drug-free concept.
The key topic in many of the workshops offered is the role of digital technologies in orthopaedic treatment and care. Streifeneder will be presenting a 3D-printed hand orthosis with nano-hybrid joint. TechMed 3D deals with the digitalisation of 3D scanning, while Spentys presents a clinically approved workflow for the creation of 3D printed medical aids.
The digital supply of insoles has not been neglected either. medi's production techniques for more efficiency in everyday work and the Noventi insole portal as an interface between sales and production for modern insoles will also be discussed.
Workshops from the company Bauerfeind on the digital accompaniment of lymph patients or from medi on the subject of digital measurement are aimed at medical supplies retailers.
