Vergleichende Beobachtungsstudie - Blindtest hydrostatischer Gipsabdruck vs. andere - Stumpfabdruckverfahren

Zusammenfassung: Der hydrostatische Gipsabdruck bei Vollbelastung ist eine Alternative zu anderen Abdruckverfahren bei der Versorgung von Oberschenkel- und Unterschenkelamputierten.

Radspieler, Andreas

A patient feedback strategy in early design phase of a low active (K2) prosthetic ankle

Zusammenfassung: This abstract presents the necessity of acquiring user comments early in the design phase of a prosthetic ankle. A group of three low activity(K2) prosthetic users evaluated, 3 prosthetic ankles, and a prototype. User and designer interaction lead to of a novel dynamic prosthetic ankle for K2 users.

Nijman, Jeroen

3D Biodata analyses to impove lower limb socket fit

Zusammenfassung: US dual-clinic study to assess the commercial benefit, efficacy and patient satisfaction of the INSIGHT System on residual limb-socket fitting in subjects with unilateral amputation of a lower limb.

Carpinteiro, Frederico

Kurzvortrag ePoster

A novel method of measuring pistoning and rotation inside a socket during dynamic activity when wearing single suspension and dual suspension

Zusammenfassung: This case study presents a new method using a video camera to measure the movements within a socket. These movements, vertical pistoning and rotation, are compared between different suspension systems during level walking.

Birgisdottir, Linda

A variable stiffness prosthetic foot using Shear Thickening Fluid (STF); concept, design and first user perception

Zusammenfassung: The unique properties of STF, characterized by a sharp viscosity increase at a critical shear rate, is employed in a speed dependent variable stiffness prosthetic foot. Resulting foot force response ranges from compliant and damped behavior, to spring like energy return.

Tryggvason, Heimir

Comprehensive gait analysis of a single user, walking with a novel prosthetic foot with a variable stiffness unit - A case study

Zusammenfassung: Biomechanical, mechanical and perceptive assessment of a prosthetic foot with three different stiffness configurations, at three different gait speeds were contrasted. User related results indicates that the user may, to some extent, adopt compensatory movement strategies across walking speeds

Dlugoszek, Annika

How rush prosthetic feet are specifically designed for active people? A literature review

Zusammenfassung: Rush feet are unique due their fiberglass composite material, high ESAR rubber heel shocks, and patented geometry. This literature review extracts studies showing mechanical and biomechanical results meeting the needs of high-functioning persons with a LLA, correlating users’ feedback.

Calistri, Laurine

Analysis of sensitivity and correlation of selected self-reported clinical outcomes in lower-limb prosthetic application based on real world data

Zusammenfassung: The analysis of the data from the Outcome Registry has shown that the following self-reported outcomes: EQ-5D-5L, PLUS-M, LCI, ABC Scale, Socket Comfort Score, and satisfaction are well suited to measure the impact of an intervention related to lower limb prosthetics.

Maciejasz, Pawel

Quantifying static and dynamic stability in amputees with low activity

Zusammenfassung: We present a protocol to quantify static and dynamic stability in amputees with low activity. Ten amputees with K2 (MFCL) activity level were recruited and evaluated in 2 different prosthetic feet. Parameters that quantify stability and movement in standing and walking are presented.

Theodórsson, Snorri Rafn

Pressure measurements in prosthetic sockets of transfemoral amputees during ambulation and the relationship with socket fit: A Systematic Review.

Zusammenfassung: The review presents pressure data at the stump-socket interface of transfemoral amputees (TFAs) during normal gait. Eight scientific papers were analysed to suggest a quantitative relationship between pressure and socket fitting conditions, and to propose experimental protocols for future studies.

Ko, Siu-Teing

Kurzvortrag ePoster

Safety of osseointegrated implants for transtibial amputees

Zusammenfassung: Osseointegration is a potential treatment option for transfemoral amputees experiencing socket-related problems. Up to this date, there is little data assessing the feasibility and advantages of osseointegration in individuals with transtibial amputations.

Lu, William

Kurzvortrag ePoster

Complex regional pain syndrome treated with above knee amputation and osseointegration

Zusammenfassung: This paper reports a 24-year-old woman with unremitting complex regional pain syndrome type I (CRPS-I) underwent a trans-femoral amputation, then reconstruction with osseointegration surgery.

Lu, William

Kurzvortrag ePoster

Osseointegrated implants in patients with diabetes mellitus: A case series of eight patients

Zusammenfassung: This is the first study reporting on the clinical outcomes of diabetic patients receiving an osseointegrated reconstruction.

Lu, William

Kurzvortrag ePoster

Examining the complication and re-operation rates after osseointegrated reconstruction

Zusammenfassung: The objective of this study is to look into the rate of occurrence of all subsequent complications requiring a re-operation after a patient receives osseointegration surgery.

Lu, William
