On the lower leg, the dorsal extensors and plantar flexors are stimulated. The dorsal extensors provide foot lift and ankle stabilization, while the plantar flexors provide active push-off and stabilization against the genu recurvatum (abnormally hyperextendable knee).
The evomove® is attached to the leg with custom-made cuffs, allowing individual positioning of the electrodes on one side and easy donning for the user on the other.
Since the evomove® can also be used as an orthotic fitting, the best of two technologies can be combined: Activity, dynamics and stability in gait through FES and stance, stability and orthopedic correction through the orthosis. In other words, the activation of the body's own structures with simultaneous external stabilization.
