International Trade Show: Innovations From Around the World Accompanied by Groundbreaking Lecture Programme

Preparations for OTWorld 2022 are in full swing. Market leaders such as Bauerfeind, medi, Ottobock, Össur, Schein and Thuasne will be presenting their new products from 10 to 13 May 2022. Up to now, more than 25 countries including Australia, Sweden, Taiwan, South Korea and Canada have already registered for the leading global get-together for the orthopeadic treatment and care industry.

Overall, about half the exhibitors come from aborad. Examples of companies taking part are ALPS SOUTH EUROPE, Basko Healthcare, Proteor and Vorum Research Corporation. As in previous years, there is strong interest in joint national stands. The USA and Canada as well as Spain and France already have stands confirmed.

The numerous lectures listed in the trade show programme guarantee fresh inspiration. For example, the Forum Digitalisation will be looking into all aspects of digitalisation in orthopaedic treatment and care. The wealth of topics ranges from e-prescriptions and telematic infrastructure to 3D printing.

Key topics will also be prepared and allocated to "Treatment Worlds" for the first time. The Treatment World Cerebral Palsy will demonstrate the optimal and complex provision of medical aids for a person with CP throughout all phases of their life. Live demonstrations and discussion of optimal care from childhood to adulthood, from the first orthotic and shoe fitting to standing and walking devices, suitable selection of seats and wheelchairs, as well as storage options and environmental control.

In the Treatment World Lymphatic Diseases, visitors to the trade show can gain a variety of insights into the care for and suffering of lymphatic patients, from visits to the doctor and lymphatic drainage to compression supplies and the role of retail surgical stores in providing care.

In groundbreaking exhibitor workshops, representatives of the industry will be explaining intelligent solutions for optimal care. Digital visitors will also have the opportunity to find out about innovations in the industry. The Innovation Talks are a new format in which exhibitors present their new products and services in a livestream that can be watched from anywhere in the world. The talks will be available free of charge on the OTWorld website during the event as well as in the Media Library shorty after OTWorld has come to an end.
