Using numerous practical examples, the current state of digitalisation in prosthetics & orthotics will be demonstrated and an outlook will be given on how digitalisation is expected to change orthopaedic treatment and care in the next few years.
The exhibitor Munevo will be presenting munevo DRIVE, its innovative head control for electric wheelchairs. Based on smart glasses, the head control helps people with restricted mobility gain greater autonomy and fuller participation by means of slight head movements.
The economic efficiency of investing in a 3D printer will be closely examined in the lecture entitled 3D Printing: Make or Buy – Is It Worth Buying Your Own Printer? (German only) given by Mecuris on 12 May. Practical examples will be used to calculate various options and find the most economical solution.
Based on the mathematical analysis of over 4 thousand scanned feet and 20 years of data collected through conventional methods, the exhibitor LBT designed a series of lasts that covers 95-98% of personalised diabetic shoes. In their lecture with the title New Horizons in Custom Show Production using Digitalization they give insights in their concept which is supported by an ERP system that handles all aspects of production.
