Symposium

The future of clinical practice and research in balance and postural control of people with a lower-limb amputation: The influence of intrinsic and extrinsic factors

Short description

Conducting a systematic review on the current state of research of postural control in people with a lower limb amputation. The initial review results will be presented during the symposium. Representatives from different professions (medicine, occupational and physical therapy) will add their view to the topic. Therefore, all symposium contributors will provide added context and interpretation of the review results, thus allowing an additional level of peer-review to the interpretation of the results. Following the symposium, completion of the systematic review - including additional points raised at OTWorld 2022 – will be submitted for publication.
