Abstract:

To address the lack of evidence in the P&O profession, more research needed. Performing studies in routine clinical care centers can make research more accessible to participants and allow enrollment of larger samples. Well structured case studies and retrospective chart reviews can also offer unique opportunities to generate evidence with less administrative burden. This session will share best practices, recommended assessments and documentation principles from experts who have integrated research into clinical practice. Attendees will gain the practical skills and knowledge that will allow them to contribute to research evidence and avoid common mistakes and frustrations.
