A survey of prosthetic foot clinical selection criteria

Abstract: Survey was conducted to understand overall trends in the selection of prosthetic feet. Using terminology from an earlier telephone survey, a 10 question survey was developed regarding experience, number of mainstay feet", product life and value statements condsidered during recommendation.

Abstract: Es wurde eine biomechanische und klinische Untersuchung von drei Unterschenkelamputierten mit je vier verschiedenen Prothesenfüßen durchgeführt. Zwischen den subjektiven und objektiven Messdaten konnten bei einem Probanden klare Gemeinsamkeiten aufgezeigt werden, die anderen waren sehr different.

Effects on user mobility and safety when changing from a carbon fibre prosthetic foot to a bionic prosthetic foot.

Abstract: The study was conducted to evaluate the effect on mobility and safety for lower limb amputees (LLA) when changing from a carbon fibre prosthetic foot to a bionic foot.Results suggest that user mobility improves when using the bionic foot and subjects experience fewer falls and stumbles.

Natural prosthetic gait with a six-axis industrial robot

Abstract: Due to insufficiencies of existing tests, compared to natural biomechnical behavior, the group of the Fraunhofer IPA orthopedics and motion systems combines several techniques to simplify the programming pattern of a robot and to provide a more natural trial course for devices of the lower limb.

First results of the function of an adaptive prosthesic foot applied on a transfemoral amputee

Abstract: Die hier vorgestellte Studie untersucht einen adaptiven Prothesenfuß der sich mittels einer Plantarflexion bzw. Dorsiflexion an unterschiedliche Gehbedingungen anpasst. Die Ergebnisse der Ganganalyse zeigen, dass eine Adaption des Prothesenfußes für das Hinaufgehen von Rampen Vorteile bietet.
