Are mobility-related outcome measures affected by varying combinations of prosthetic componentry?

Abstract: This study investigates the effects of combining prosthetic knee and ankle devices with and without microprocessor control and hydraulic articulation, respectively. MPK and hydraulic ankle use improved performance in clinical mobility assessments in people with unilateral transfemoral amputation.

Abstract: 5 polyzentrische und ein monozentrisches Kniegelenk wurden in einer speziellen Vorrichtung auf die Verkürzung des Unterschenkelsegmentes während der Schwungphasenbewegung untersucht. Dabei kam es nicht mit jedem polyzentrischen Kniegelenk zu einer relevanten Verkürzung im stolperkritischen Bereich.

Benefits of Genium prosthetic knee on ambulation, mobility, activities of daily living and quality of life: a systematic literature review

Abstract: Twelve articles of mostly medium and high overall validity were identified. The reviewed articles suggest that transitioning from C-Leg to Genium resulted in positive effect on ambulation, mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs) and quality of life of transfemoral (TF) amputees.

Abstract: Das VarioKnie stellt ein neuartiges Prothesenkniegelenk dar und ermöglicht über eine Schalteinheit einen Wechsel zwischen einer Monozentrik und Polyzentrik. Es ermöglicht situationsabhängig und auf Anwenderwunsch die Nutzung einer der Kinematiken, die diametrale Vorteile bieten.
