In the recent past, there have been several technological advancements to the field of Limb Prosthetics getting the attention to clinicians and the healthcare community. Targeted Muscle Reinnervation is a surgical procedure used to enhance the functional capabilities of myoelectric prosthesis users- Pattern Recognition, is new, exciting and seems to be symbiotic with TMR. Osseointegrationt has been around for decades, refinement of the surgical intervention and the rehabilitation enables individuals to benefit from this technology. Emerging technologies and surgical techniques offer huge possibilities in amputee care and demand for challenging integration and a team approach
