Unloader bracing, an option for non-surgical treatment of degenerative meniscal tears

Abstract: Meniscal tears are apparent in one in three adults over the age of 50. In lieu of surgery, we fitted ten patients with knee pain and dysfunction caused by degenerative meniscal tears with an unloader brace and followed them for two months. Significant improvements in knee related symptoms were seen.
