Lecture Scientific/Practical

Monitoring everyday use of lower limb orthotics and quality of life in subjects with neuromuscular gait disorders

Abstract: The use of single and modular orthotic concepts is monitored via temperature logging sensors over a three month period. Results reveal diverse influencing factors like walking speed, adaptability and handling, regarding orthotic use, quality of life and satisfaction with orthotics.

Performance, patient benefits and acceptance of a new generation of microprocessor-controlled stance and swing control orthosis

Abstract: We show that patients suffering from lower limb paresis benefit from C-Brace, a stance and swing control orthosis (SSCO), compared to conventional KAFOs. Specifically performance and patient benefits from next generation of C-Brace will be assessed with gait analysis and questionnaires.

Lecture Case Study

Increasing compliance by monitoring brace wearing time by Iidiopathic scoliosis patients
